Job Interviews: Do's and Don'ts

Out of this list ( www.10biggestinterviewmistakes.com/ ), I have to say that matching and mirroring your interviewer is the most important aspect of a job interview. The concept of reflecting a similar demeanor and level of humor is logical because it allows you to put your interviewer at ease. The interviewer needs to be comfortable with you before (s)he can be comfortable with recommending you for the position. Since you have already passed the first few filters with your résumé and perhaps phonecall, you can be relatively certain that it is not your credentials that will be the tie-breaker between you and the rest of the applicants. A personal connection can be developed through this mirror idea; the value of connecting to a prospective employer (on any level) can not be devalued.
